Former Miss World and Bollywood’s leading actress Priyanka Chopra has been appointed as the national ambassador of UNICEF. The swanky actress will be assigned with the task of promoting child and adolescent rights in India.

Priyanka Chopra isn’t the only popular Indian celebrity to be associated with UNICEF. Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Aamir Khan, Raveena Tandon and Sharmila Tagore have also been a part of the organization’s promotional activities in the country.

The agreement will be made between Priyanka and UNICEF representative Karin Hulsof at a ceremony to be held in New Delhi on the 10th of this month.
