John Abraham is returning to the turf of action with Force – the remake of Tamil blockbuster hit Kaakha Kaakha. The original which starred Surya and Jyothika broke box office records upon release and was a turning point in Surya’s career. The producers of the remake are trying to recreate the magic of the original and the first poster intends to send across to the viewers an idea of what to expect. The remake stars John Abraham as an encounter specialist with guns and eight pack abs to deal with the bad guys. Genelia D’Souza has been roped in to play the role of John’s love interest in the movie. Directed by Nishikant Kamat whose previous directorial venture Mumbai Meri Jaan was critical success, Force is being produced by Vipul Shah. The careers of everyone involved with the project are relying heavily on the movie. John hasn’t had a blockbuster in 2010, Genelia D’Souza hasn’t tasted success since Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Vipul Shah had two huge flops – London Dreams and Action Replayy – back-to-back. Without sounding too much influenced by Star Wars, all that we’ve got to say is – “May the Force be with you.” On an additional note, we find the first poster to be a shabby Photoshop job. What disappoints us the most is the gun which looks like a last minute addition with the help of a photo-editing tool.
