Disappointing her fans, Mallika has decided to opt for a Bhartiya nari avatar in her next flick, Case No. 99. Covered up from head to toe, Sherawat will be seen sharing screen space with veteran actors Nana Patekar and Naseeruddin Shah. The film is a suspense thriller revolving around a Rs. 100 crore insurance scam.

Producer of the film, C. G. Patel confirmed her inclusion in the film and said, “She loved the script. She has a very powerful role. While Nana Patekar will be playing the role of a CBI officer, we are still in talks with Naseeruddin Shah. "

Dilip Shukla of Dabangg fame has written the dialogues while the movie will be directed by debutante Praful Parekh.
