After a sensational debut debut back in 2005 in Super, Nagarjuna’s version of Dhoom, Anushka Shetty has now turned into one of the most sought-after actress in Tamil and Telugu. Giving the likes of Asin, Trisha and Nayantara tough competition, the actress went on to star in blockbusters which owe a lot to her onscreen presence and charm. When a siren like her is offered a role in the Bollywood remake of her biggest hit so far, we would expect her to book her tickets for Mumbai. Well, she didn’t. Rohit Shetty is remaking Surya’s Tamil action flick Singam with Ajay Devgn in the lead role. The original had Anushka as lead character’s love interest and considering her looks, talent and the appreciation that she received for her role, Rohit personally requested Anushka to reprise her role in the Hindi remake. Anushka politely refused to take up the role and said that she was comfortable in the South film industry. The misfortunes of Asin and Trisha have definitely had an impact on Anushka who chooses to learn lessons from the mistake made by others than to be a lesson herself.
