The directors and producers of Race 2 have finally decided on the star cast. Producer Ramesh Taurani and director duo Abbas-Mustan didn’t want to leave any stone unturned to ensure that their sequel is as successful as Race.

Says the duo, “The casting has to be perfect, once the script is okayed. The expectations from RACE 2 are humungous and we plan to make it bigger and better than the first part.”

While Saif Ali Khan and Anil Kapoor who were a part of the prequel have been retained, the makers have roped in John Abraham to play the negative role. Though rumours were doing rounds of Abhishek Bachchan’s inclusion, the producer has denied the reports.

The female leads will be new with Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha confirmed. One more female will have to be finalized to star opposite Anil Kapoor. Shooting is set to begin by the starting of August.
