Either all the reviewers who panned Kambakkht Ishq are dumb or the decision makers at the Library of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences will have to take up that title. The Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer which had a bumper opening this year has received an unexpected appreciation from the Library of the Academy of Motion Pictures, Arts and Sciences. The screenplay of the wishy-washy romantic-action-comedy has been invited to be a part of the permanent Core Collection of the Library. The screenplay will then be released to students, filmmakers, writers, actors and other regular patrons of the Library. The heavily publicized movie with its Hollywood guest actors (Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh) and the exotic locales (including the famous Kodak theatre) met with truckloads of flak from the critics. It took a bumper opening, but poor word of mouth publicity, negative reviews and the huge budget reduced its box office status to that of an average movie. This recognition will definitely be healing touch to the sufferings of the makers of Kambakkht Ishq.
