Gags galore. Laughs? Well, not as many as you’d expect in a 180-minute marathon mirth machine. Somehow, the jokes get choked in the comic ritual of repetition. Once you figure out who’s who and who’s ha-ha in the farce fest, the attempts to... Read more...
Barbara Mori’s topless scene removed from Kites
Monday, 10 May 2010 08:58

barbara-moriA controversial scene featuring Mexican actress Barbara Mori topless has been axed from the Indian version of Rakesh Roshan’s big-budget movie Kites. The scene was spotted in the international trailer of Kites. Indian audiences will get to see the censored movie while the foreign audiences will get the chance to jaw drop at the aforementioned scene.

Rakesh Roshan defended the trailer.

"The promos for both the international and the Indian audiences are the same, and the kiss is in both. As far as the topless scene is concerned, it's not true. I don't make such films. For the Hollywood version, they wanted only 90 minutes, so we removed all five songs."

The movie has two versions – a 130 minute Hindi version which hits theatres on May 21 and a 90 minute English version (without the five songs) which will glide in on May 28.

Barbara Mori said: "There is so much kissing in Hollywood and Mexico. Everyone is kissing everywhere. But, in Bollywood, no one's kissing? I asked Hrithik why they take the camera away and show flowers and all. And he was laughing at me and saying, 'Oh, it's all changing now. Now we're kissing plenty.’
