When it comes to the King of Bollywood, he would have nothing less than the very best. Shah Rukh Khan has roped in the finest and the most respected of contemporary Hollywood music composers, Hans Zimmer for his home production, Ra.One.

SRK is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Ra.One becomes a global success. The news of Zimmer’s entry into the movie follows that of Akon, who is also singing a song for the movie.

Academy award winner Hans Zimmer is best known for his contemporary musical experimentations. His innovative style saw fusion of the traditional orchestral sound with electronic instruments. Zimmer’s compositions for movies such as The Lion King, Gladiator, The Last Samurai, The Dark Knight, Pirates of The Caribbean series, The Da Vinci Code, Sherlock Holmes and the recent blockbuster Inception have made him one of the most sought after music composers in Hollywood. If all goes well, it would be the first time that the German composer will be working for a Bollywood film.

Sources in the unit reveal that Shah Rukh Khan brought in foreign technicians to lend that perfect touch to his sci-fi flick. He is said to be very particular that Ra.One conforms to international standards and it was director Anubhav Sinha who suggested Zimmer for the background score.

While Khan’s charm definitely had a role in bringing Zimmer to Bollywood, he is also being paid a massive sum of Rs. 2 crore to compose the background score for the film. However, both the actor and the director remained unavailable for comments.
