Just when we thought we could have a Diwali weekend with an obvious choice of movie to watch (Blue being the choice) there comes along a gang of absolutely crazy dudes and girls. We are talking about the action comedy, All The Best. All The Best is produced By Ajay Devgan and stars Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse and Ajay Devgan as well. The laugh-riot flick is directed by the ever-dependable Rohit Shetty who was behind all those rib-tickling numbers in Golmaal, Sunday and Golmal Returns. This is the fifth time that Ajay is teaming up with Rohit. They had joined forces for the hijack actioner Zameen before Golmaal came along. Rohit Shetty’s movies have often given Ajay the much needed boost whenever latter’s career nosedived. All The Best comes at a time when Ajay is sailing safe after the success of Golmaal Returns. So he can hope for the best. All The Best releases on October 16 – the same date on which Blue hits shores. Blue can pose a challenge, as the action thriller is much superior a product. But an out and out competition is out of the question as both are in different genres. All The Best is for the fun loving viewer who likes some ridiculous, over the top and “that’s fun” action as part of the comic scenes. Blue is for the serious action movie junkie. Sanjay Dutt will be a bit nervous since he stars in both Blue and All The Best. The last thing that he wants is an unhealthy box office clash. Even before the movie has hit theatres, everyone is curious about the options of a sequel. The producer’s answer is predictable. If this one clicks, then obviously there will be a sequel. If that happens, then Rohit Shetty will be the only Indian director to be at the helm of two movie franchises. Coming back to that day-altering question – which movie will you watch on October 16? We’d advise the confused movie enthusiast to watch Blue at first and once you have been through all that adrenaline pumping ride, rush to the ticket counter grab the tickets to All The Best to laugh and chill out. |
