A. R. Rahman has already got his name on the front-row seat at the Kodak Theatres where this year’s Oscars will be held. 127 Hours has got him two nominations which in itself is an honour. Cheering him from the seats reserved for the invited guests will be Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai who have received the invitation from the Academy to attend the most prestigious movie award ceremony on the planet.

Amitabh Bachchan broke the news on his blog. He writes, "Oh ! And incidentally they were getting fitted at a clothes store, for the Oscars Award ceremony for Sunday - Warren and Abhishek ! Ya , Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday."

Among the other attendees from Bollywood are Ashutosh Gowarikar and his son who will be joining Abhishek and Ash as they cheer Rahman’s live performance during the award night. If Rahman does bag the awards, he won’t be finding it hard to spot some friends in the audience to make a mention of during his speech.
