As far as Bollywood is concerned, the best find of 2010 was Ranveer Singh. Despite having no Bollywood lineage, the lanky actor came in and delivered the best performance among the male debutants of the year. Band Baaja Baaraat which was expected to be an average grosser, surprised trade pundits by turning into a hit at the box-office. Ranveer’s popularity is on the rise these days and there is one more reason to validate this. Facebook which is instituting its own Bollywood awards – FBMA (Face Book Annual Movie Awards) – has put up a poll online for its users to vote for their Bollywood favourites. Surprisingly, it’s neither Shah Rukh Khan nor Salman Khan who is leading the race for the title of the favourite actor. Ranveer is charging ahead of both the Khans, who had two blockbusters in 2010 – Dabangg and My Name Is Khan. The boy from Bandra is for sure giving the Khans stiff competition and with the Yash Raj Films three-movie deal in place, Ranveer has made it clear that he is here to stay.
