Shirish Kunder’s remake of the Hollywood romantic comedy Bride Wars has been sailing through troubled waters of late. Katrina Kaif bid goodbye to the project in the beginning as she wasn’t comfortable with the whole idea of starring in a movie where Priyanka Chopra had an equivalent role. Now Priyanka Chopra has walked out of the movie too stating date conflicts. Piggy Chops has her hands in a lot of projects this year with Agneepath remake, Don 2 and Krrish 2 eating up a major chunk of her schedule for 2011.

The original which starred Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway was all about two friends who turn foes to get married on the same date at the same place. In our case, there isn’t any love lost between Piggy Chops and Wild Kat. Shirish Kunder isn’t that dejected by the setbacks though. He was quoted as saying, "That film is all up in the air now. After Manish passed away, I have been trying to get a new director. He or she will be finalized in the next two weeks. So the film is definitely going to happen. Let things fall into place."
