Wearing a red sari designed by Tarun Tahiliani and flaunting emeralds and diamonds Shilpa looked like a dream on her wedding. Kundra sported a maroon sherwani with golden embroidery and a turban. The groom’s face was veiled with strings of pearls and he held a sword. The groom arrived in a two horse chariot.
The ceremony was conducted as per the Bunt tradition in line with the Mangalorean Shetty community. The function was attended by close friends and family (as usual). Also in attendance was her sister Shamita Shetty who opted out of the reality TV show Big Boss 3 to be a part of the wedding ceremony.

The security measures and the police presence were in place to ensure that the ceremony took place well. But that didn’t stop the shutterbugs and stargazers from having a field day.

Shilpa communicated to her fans on her wedding via her blog.

"Thanks for all the best wishes from family and friends...Will write to you very soon... As Shilpa Shetty Kundra. This is it," she posted on www.shilpashettylive.com/blog on Sunday morning.
