Two terrorism related movies – Lamhaa and Tere Bin Laden which entered the box office a couple of weeks back didn’t make any significant contribution to the overall industry collections with both movies collecting less than Rs. 100 million each. Of the two, Tere Bin Laden starring Ali Zafar was a winning proposition for its producers and distributors as it was made on a low budget and sold at a reasonable price. The same can’t be said about Lamhaa which was made at a high cost and boasted of stars like Sanjay Dutt, Kunal Kapoor and Bipasha Basu. Udaan which was well-received by critics and celebrities collected a decent sum which is remarkable for a movie that most viewers classify as film festival material.
