Fox Star Studios had given utmost priority to the Indian circuit that they released The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Trader in India much before the movie was released in the US. The third part of the fantasy movie franchise hit Indian theatres on 3 December in 3D and in four languages. The Hollywood release collected all of Rs. 205 million (Rs. 20.5 crore) in 10 days which resulted in India making it to the top 10 international markets in terms of collections. Fox Star Studios India CEO Vijay Singh said, "We are delighted that Indian audiences have embraced the magical world of Narnia with such enthusiasm. The film is holding strong across the country." However, the fully loaded third part met with a cold response from the US audience who didn’t endorse it as much as they endorsed the first two movies of the franchise. The Voyage of the Dawn Trader collected $ 24 million in its opening weekend which is the lowest of all three movies and lower than opening weekend collections of similar releases.
