Tees Maar Khan scores third highest opening weekend ever

Farah Khan and team had to settle with the number three spot in the list of opening weekend record holders as Tees Maar Khan raked in Rs. 375 million (Rs. 37.5 crore) in its first weekend. 3 Idiots held its record of the second highest opening weekend with Rs. 400 million (Rs. 40 crore) and this year’s smash hit Dabangg was miles ahead with its jaw-dropping first weekend collections of Rs. 480 million (Rs. 48 crore).

The following week is crucial for Tees Maar Khan as the reviews of the Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif starrer haven’t been positive. The movie will be relying heavily on Katrina Kaif’s onscreen oomph and Farah Khan’s track record as the blockbuster director to keep the inflow of moviegoers steady.
