Game loses to F.A.L.T.U at the box-office PDF Print E-mail

Abhishek Bachchan’s bad luck seems to continue as his latest release Game fizzled at the box-office. The opening weekend collection hit a low in Junior’s career with a meagre Rs. 28 million (Rs. 2.8 crore). The thriller directed by Abhinay Deo and put together by Excel Entertainment and Eros International was a non-starter from day one. The globe-trotting thriller couldn’t pull off a face-saving show despite the exotic locales and high production values.

On the other hand, Vashu Bhagnani’s F.A.L.T.U went all the way till Rs. 108 million (Rs. 10.8 crore) which was miles ahead of its star-studded box-office rival. It was surprising to see a movie with fresh faces performing decently on a weekend which had the viewers glued to their TV sets watching the ICC World Cup final.
