Aruna Shields’ love-making scenes don’t help Mr. Singh/Mrs. Mehta

She made her debut in Vivek Oberoi’s caper film, Prince – It’s Showtime. The movie tanked though it had a good opening weekend and Aruna was noted solely for her bikini act and the kissing scenes with her co-star. She managed to get cast in another Bollywood movie with less-known faces.

Her second movie, Mr. Singh/Mrs. Mehta made up for the absence of big stars by its abundance of love-making scenes and Aruna took it upon herself to make the movie hotter by shedding all her inhibitions and her clothes. Three long sequences of love-making have been featured in the movie for which the movie got an A certificate from the censor board which passed it without cropping any of the love-making scenes.

Despite the over the top nudity, the movie failed to take a decent initial at the box-office. For some reason the movie turned out to be a disaster which validated that sex doesn’t always sell.
