Are our celebrities gradually taking the Hollywood route to grab attention? As in, they give the paparazzi a glimpse of their “you-know-what” at events and parties to get their share of Page 3 space. Euphemistically referred to as “wardrobe malfunction” we have seen a handful of actresses making it to the web and the tabloids for their off-screen wardrobe experiments. After Mallika Sherawat, Kareena Kapoor and Shamita Shetty, it’s now Yana Gupta who went ahead and gave the shutterbugs a view of something which they didn’t quite expect to see at an NGO event.

Yana turned up in a black dress looking all classy and chic as she always does. No surprises there. But when she sat down with her legs uncrossed the photographers couldn’t help but notice that she wasn’t wearing her underwear. The flashes started firing without breaks and Yana instantly took up damage control by tugging on her short dress which wasn’t helping at all. Eventually she crossed legs and pulled the curtains down for the show-goers. The paparazzi brigade was pleased as they had just got the Babuji siren without her essentials.

The surfacing of the image on the web has also invited some comments from the film fraternity. Film director Farah Khan wrote on her Twitter page, “sm1 pls buy yana gupta an underwear.kya yaar.”

If you thought Farah’s line was hilarious, you haven’t read what Yana had to say in her defence. Yana said, “I was rehearsing for a dance reality show (Jhalak Dikhla Jaa) and my underwear made me uncomfortable. I kept adjusting my panties. So, I decided to rehearse without wearing any, and unfortunately, had to rush for the event, so I forgot to wear them. I really had no idea that so much could be seen.”
