Bollywood is witnessing a trend of item numbers and cameo appearances from talent imported from abroad. Blue, Love Aaj Kal, Guzaarish and the upcoming Rockstar are among the long line of movies in which you get to see the phenomenon in action. Add one more movie and one more name to that list – Bhindi Bazaar Inc. and Caterina Lopez. Just in case you didn’t know it, she happens to be cousin of singer-actress Jennifer Lopez.

Caterina will be performing a sizzling item number which will feature Caterina in Western wear and a saree. The Latina, who started off her career as a model in the United States, says, “The director of the film Ankush Bhatt got in touch with my agency. We had a meeting, I heard the song and I liked it. That is when I thought of being a part of the project.”

Caterina found the item number to be a challenging one and commented, “I am not going to lie but it was difficult! Learning the language and being able to lip-sync and making the right moves to the right beats required hard work. But I loved it and I’m game for any other challenge.”

Bhindi Bazaar Inc. which stars Kay Kay Menon, Piyush Mishra, Prashant Narayanan, Deepti Naval, Shilpa Shukla and Pawan Malhotra tells the story of gangs, who reside in the densely populated area of Bhindi Bazaar in Mumbai.
